Thought on friends, and more.

When we were moving back to Utah from Ca. Henry was worried about making friends. The night before we left he sat up drawing pictures and wrote this thought.

"If you have one good friend, you have more than your fair share."

I love the way his little mind works. How he works out his stress and anxiety through creating. It is so hard when he is stressed and can't just stop and draw. He has been doing that since he was three or four. sometimes drawing won't work so he heads for the piano and plays till he feels better. I remember being at a Psych. appointment for "Lilly" the 14 yr. old girl, Henry was just about 5 and stressing out so he asked to draw. The Dr. was amazed at how it this little boy was able to turn his anxiety and stress around. He said it was an amazing ability at any age let alone 5. Very impressed.

Now for Lilly who is always the cheerful sunshiney one. The other night after going to bed she hollered,

"Good night, sleep tight. Dream of happiness tonight!" Sweet!

In her father's blessing when she was a baby he said she would be full of charity. She is often overflowing!

Monday night was a huge stress, dinner wasn't ready until 7:00 and there was chaos everywhere. she sensed my distress and was there trying to help. "Mom, calm down just breath. How can I help." she was busy doing other things so I told her not to worry. When I came back from the restroom, she was busy washing my dishes. I really appreciate her sweetness. She is the one kid who knows her responsibilities and takes care of them without being told 90% of the time. She knows what she needs to do and would rather get it out of the way than have it, "hanging over my head," she says. She has also seen the awesome benefits of being responsible and on task. She reads her scriptures every night and has been for over a year. If there is a reason she wants to say up late she makes sure to read them early in the evening. I am glad to see her taking care of her spiritual needs. She is great example to me, her brother, sister, and her young womens leaders.
