I have been thinking about doing a blog for ages. I just haven't felt I have anything to share. Now that I have an idea and have created one, I'm lost. I digress...
I have decided to blog the fun things my kids say. I am constantly telling my friends and family, "You should write that down." When they tell me something cute their kids say, yet I have been terrible at it all along. Now that they are 18, 14, and 11 I think I have found a way to get myself to do it regularly. I haven't decided what to do about thier names, should I use them or 'protect the innocent?' Guess I can decide as I go.
So the thing that made me decide to do this was a sweet card from my 14 year old daughter, she gave it to me for my birthday.
On the outside it said,
"It is the special people in our hearts who make life complete." Adele Basheer
Then on the inside she wrote;
"Dear Mom,
The Best Day is a song written by Taylor Swift to tell her mom she loves her. Mom I don't have a gift to write songs, write down feelings. I only have the gift to sing and tell you how important you are, and maybe more gifts to come. Whenever I sing it makes me happy. Whenever I smile it's because I have joy in my life, I hope I make you have joy, laughter, hope and happiness, but most of all I hope you know that the song happens to be in all the moments with you. I love you a ton."
She has the sweetest heart and I see a talent for writing in those words. What would I do with out that sweet heart?
