The 'Easter Bunny' brought Dove's elegant chocolate eggs. While fixing dinner Kylie asked, "Can I have an elephant egg?"
I looked at her like she was crazy, "What?"
She showed me the bag, "There called elegant eggs, Ky. Yes you can have one." David was in the back ground giggling. I said, "Elephant's don't lay eggs."
Then David said, "Yes, they do." he was serious. Then you could see the recognition on his face. "Oh, no they don't," he giggled, "I forgot they were mammals."
Funny kids.
We had a lovely Easter. It was conference weekend which just made it awesome. I was having a really bad lupus day though, so we didn't go to my mom's for dinner. Our unplanned Easter dinner turned out to be quit yummy though. We had the rolls I'd made for the dinner, potato salad, deviled eggs and some leftover sandwich ham. It was a yummy dinner, I think a big thing about what it made so good was how hard the kids worked to pull it off 'cause of sick mommy.
No matter the worries or how hard it is to have Norman gone, we are blessed. We are extremely blessed, spoiled rotten. The gospel, knowledge of our Saviors atonement, what his resurrection means. The temples so close and the promises that the covenants we make give us the greatest peace, hope and desire to live life fully. Caring for others, serving others, being able to repent and try again. We life amazing lives that we need to use to bless those around us. We are the hands of the Lord and must lift up those who's arms are hanging down. I am so thankful.
